Continuing Spinal Cord Injury Care at GC Rehab

It was great to welcome Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM back to GC Rehab for his annual spinal cord injury rehabilitation review.

I have been involved in Dinesh’s spinal cord injury surveillance and rehabilitation care for the past few years. More recently, his care has transitioned to Dr Judith Dierkes at GC Rehab, who now oversees his overall spinal cord injury rehabilitation and ongoing surveillance.

At his most recent review, I was also consulted regarding new concerns about spasticity and the options available for its assessment and management.

Dinesh is a doctor, lawyer, researcher and disability advocate who has made significant contributions to spinal cord injury and disability advocacy in Australia.

His ongoing care reflects an important part of what we do at GC Rehab — providing long-term specialist rehabilitation follow-up, while bringing together specific areas of expertise when needed, for people living with spinal cord injury.
